    Zeis binocular problem

I have a pair of Zeiss conquests binos 9 months old and only used a handful of times. Just got them out and the plastic eye covers that twist for eye relief have cracked and keep spinning, has anyone else had this problem and also how good are Zeiss on aftercare??

Grandson had a pair of Terras that did the same, replaced them without a quibble, replaced the binos all he was looking for was the replacement of defective part.

Yes I had the same issue. Replaced the eye relief tubes without too much bother. Once I had them back, I traded them in for Swarovski. Regards JCS

I saw the same, a cracked extending eyepiece, today 9 June on a pair of 7x42 Utravid HD in the Leica shop in Briton Place. I was collecting two old Trinovid BA 7x42 and 8x42 that I have.

So IMHO it is a design fault of having "twist" up three position eyepieces rather that simple straight, not twisting required "pull" up but only single position eyepieces. So much for giving the customer what you think he/she wants!
