Forecast says sun comes out at exactly 1800 - perfectly timed chaps! It'll also hopefully mean we'll see some of the sika herd as per our last visit with the DMG.

Just got back from this event and it was really good. Well done to the Local BDS and DI for arranging it and a big thank you to James and Ian from the FC, they came across as very friendly and professional. Also good to see five members of Lancashire Police's Rural Crime team there too.

Really excellent visit to Gisburn Forest and thank you Alistair for arranging James and Ian for showing us around.

The midges were on fine form out of the wind

Midges,...... I had 100% deet on in full volume, so drowned every one of the feck**s that dared to land, Ian had his post office robber's face veil on, Miffy declined agent orange & just waved regally,Mike stood out in the breeze. Great visit with a decent amount of input from the organisers.
