Thread: CZ455 .17HMR Supporting kit?

    CZ455 .17HMR Supporting kit?

So I have decided to go out and purchase a CZ455 .17HMR and basically I'm looking for some good supporting kit (Scope, mod) to produce a good 150 yard vermin control setup

It will have to be on a budget so I'm saying roughy 100 for the scope maybe slightly more if needed, and I'm not sure for the mod but I see RF mods for about 40-50

Any help with this would be great, the scope is just to get started ATM and I will probably get a better one at a later date

    Thanks again

    Dan

SAK mod will do you fine for 30-35 as stated. Glass - go the best you can for the money - better to buy higher quality second hand than cheaper new.

Not as quiet as a Scirocco but not much in it. I've heard that the .17 cla specific ones are better than a .22 one

I take my cleaning kit with me whilst using all guns, are you saying this in case of a problem or to clean the barrel after so many shots?

More a case of if you don't check the ammo for split necks before loading you MAY get a damp load that lodges a bullet up the barrel.

Ahh right ok, one thing I will do with a HMR is check all my rounds for split cases throughly before taking them out

Vortex crossfire 2 6-18x44 would tick the boxes nicely. A bit over the scope budget but well worth it for glass quality and also the lifetime no quibbles warranty........
Stealthy, like a giraffe on roller-skates....
