Not a tactical, but a Tikka 1-8". What's the question? Shoots bullets from 50 grains to 80 grains.~Muir

N140 and 69gr scenar or SMK can't go wrong.
Viht publish their manuals on internet.
AA2230 works ok, very fine powder though so auto throwers no good.

    wahoo a like minded loader
    i recently got a t3 super varmint 223 1:8 twist

first thing i wanted to do was load some 75gr amax.
Ace bullets in my .308 and best of all don't need FAC so can order online etc.

    so here's my load
24.5 gr N140 in lapua brass. oal was 2" 4 55 (they don't fit in the mag)
My RCBS seating die does slightly deform the heads (they are narrow long soft tips) so I use a LEE seating die which is better.

I didn't do much tinkering with the overall length so don't take my load as "perfect"
But i was getting sub 1" groups at 160 yds.
they are great for long range vermin. My best was a crow at about 250-300 yds. Dropping approx 6" at 300 yds.
expansion is ok with approx 2-3" hole through rabbits.

Im currently experimenting with other bullet weights
50gr bullets with 25gr n133 are a very popular load
60gr bullets are another favourite. 22.1gr n133. the nosler ballistic tips and vmax (60gr) ar good for blowing stuff up

Hi I have a 1 in 8 twist 24 inch barrel on my. 223 got it chambered for 75grain amax with a oal of 2.500 I have used n140 with no luck it just won't group tried match kings and things are looking better. Is it possible that a barrel just won't shoot a certain bullet?
