    Now it all sounds awful, eighteen tons psi pressure, brass case and bullet flying all over at 2,400 fps like a mini hand grenade. Reality? More like a "plop" as the pressure rises enough to PUSH the bullet out of the case and the powder then burns (that's burns, not explodes) off. Having said that twenty or thirty or forty grains of burning nitro powder is not pleasant and can cause severe injury. But any risk of this being a mini hand grenade? None. Search out videos of rounds in microwaves or rounds having air pellets fired at them to deliberately set them off.

    Buy cheap, get cheap.

    I agree with Kalahari. It might be like some of us, "old", but it is safer, by far, than a lot of the newer ones.

    It just proves that the Blaser straight pull action is inherently safer than bolt actions
