If it is out of date by more that two years you have to take the tests again.

Yes, it's got the date in English on the side of the post.
It is still a relevant question as Pro Stalk run these trips every year. I've just come back and it was a very interesting trip too.

was it value for money and would you go again

Yes it was value for money, although I thought the 'Admin fee' added to the cost of the 30 Euro German hunting licence was rather high - but it was an inexpensive trip in the first place so the admin fee probably made up for that.
No I won't go again under the same terms as the one I went on because of the moving between places, I like to settle in, unpack and lay my kit all over the room for the duration of the trip !!
We had one day in one place and then a move of 170 miles to another place for the last two days.
This particular advert refers to Pirmasens so it may not involve a move, in which case it could prove a good trip.
Although this advert is years old Derek does them every year so it might be worth giving him a ring to confirm his dates.
You have to get yourself there and that usually involves driving the whole way or flying and hiring a vehicle when you get there, we also had to use our own vehicles in the hunting ground - not so good for the guy that flew in to Frankfurt and hired a Corsa !!
I clocked up 1680 miles on the round trip but did take in a few extra miles, probably less than 100, to visit a gun shop and a few friends on my way home.
