Finally caught up with the buck

Having complained to my good mate Jon (243Varmint) last night that the bucks were absent, I dragged my lazy backside out of bed this morning at 04:00 to try to catch up with a buck.

I saw this chap in the same field as I've been seeing the doe, as he was making his way into a recently cut field of grass. Standing by a gap in the hedge I realised he was making a bee-line straight for me, eventually having to cough to get him to stop before we collided!

I'll have to speak to Jon more often

I wonder if he realises how lucky he is that you were shooting a camera . Great photo's and doesn't he look fit and well.

Anyone who saw me at Bisley will know that he has no reason to be worried.

I think I'm going to have start using the same deodorant as Jon .....he certainly seems to have "that Lynx effect" for the bucks right now, even extending his influence vicariously to Dom just with the power of discussion, never mind his own success with a belter or a buck the other morning.....
