Thread: Not Enough Elevation

    Not Enough Elevation

I have just got a used semi auto .22 and have got the scope securely mounted on height adjustable mounts however I am 2 inches low with full elevation on the turret, am I right in thinking I need to raise the rear mount, or a mix or lower front and raise rear. Iam inches out at 25 yards so it needs fair amount of adjustment. Thanks Tom

Raise the rear. Or lower the front.

Tom, have you tried swapping the mounts around - i.e. Swap the mount from the front to the back and vice versa?
I had this on a 17HMR that a friend was getting zeroing problems with and this little trick solved the problem straight away!

Tom, are these Sportsmatch mounts you're using if so raise the rear and lower the front. Had to use them on my FAC AA S510 for same reason, John.
