Weaver rail for an older rifle

Got a shooting buddy with a old BSA 22/250.

Now he is looking at a drone pro, and needs a weaver rail, will this be a smith job or can you get it of the shelf ?

    Any help would be great

I think you will need to state what model of BSA rifle he has Bob rather than the calibre.
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

I think that the CF2 rifles are contoured to be compatible with any mounts designed for the Remington 700?

Mark Knibbs at BSA Airgun Spares | Buy Air Rifles | Discount Shotguns| Shooting Clothing| - John Knibbs International Ltd (John Knibbs International) may be able to confirm or deny that!

Bob,when I bought my Drone Pro I also bought one of the extra long picatinny rails but this did not fit my rifle would that be something he might be interested in?

This has never been used on any rifle so is as it came from the suppliers.

    Hi Martin

I am having problems with this as I have even spoken to The head man at Alan Rhone, and it seems that the rifle in question is not what it seems. it has no holes for mounting the rail too, but has a raised dovetail, so im well confused (easy to do nowadays)

    bob.

ps. MARTIN...what rifle was it for and how much are you after for it, if it works he would have it,
