Thread: Titanium Bead "Kickstop" in a R93 Synthetic Stock ?

  1. #1

Titanium Bead "Kickstop" in a R93 Synthetic Stock ?

Yep, its a Blaser query again.

a, Can they be retro fitted to the butt ?
b, Do they make any difference to the P.O.I once fitted ?
c, How heavy are they ?
d, How much are they ?
    e, Would you bother ?

The rifle's a .270 Win by the way, shooting 130grn Win Ball. Sil. Tips.

    Thanks Guys !

    Blaser kickstop

This answers a lot for you but basically:
    a. Yes
    b. No but you may shoot differently therefore changing POI.
    c. No idea
    d. About £600
    e. Me personally? No. However MANY blaser owners do and rate them highly. They'll be along shortly

That's Blaser for you. But as one owner on the other thread said, if you are buying a blaser and other expensive kit then it's a relatively small outlay. I couldn't do it personally.

From what I can see online it's just a a round tube recoil reducer so you could just fill a pvc pipe of the right diameter with small lead shot, tape the ends and pad out either end with bits of rag. Won't be as efficient but will reduce recoil.
May give you an idea whether you want one.

I may make do with a 8" length of Lead Pipe !

I'd have thought a kickstop helpful if you choose to buy a large calibre barrel where recoil might be a bigger problem.

I thought they were tungsten not titanium, and they are about £170 odd from swillington if I remeber rightly. Mulliners also do them for the same money....
Opinions are like arseholes....... we all have them, and most of them stink

Hi, I'll go for e. I wouldn't bother. I used to have a r93 pro in 270 with a t8 can on. Recoil is negligible, even at target shooting/practice I have had worse. Save you money, put it to a scope or dare I say, go stalking.

Cheers for the correction. It was late when I posted! They are indeed £170.
