We usually have 100m prone or seated zero plus a 'field conditions' format that generally involves something along the lines of the DSC1 set up. RCOs Colin & Geoff like to keep it a surprise to keep us sharp!

    Looking forwards to being there.

I'll take along a borescope if anyone wants an inspection (rifle that is) no caveat attached

Looks like the rain should stop about 1100 but worth those without 4WD and off road tyres leaving their cars in the field by the road gate.

Excellent turn out today to the range event.

Some people travelled quite a distance to get there, good to see several members from SD there, hope you come along to the next shoot.

    Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere

Must add thanks to Colin, Geoff and Nick for sorting admin and RCO duties, everything went swimmingly.

The rain held off until 11.30ish and there was a great turn out from over 20 stalkers who travelled from as far away as North Wales, Chester, Merseyside and Yorkshire. As Redmist said really good to put a face to name with some guys off this site.

I'll add my thanks to RCOs Colin and Geoff who ran an enjoyable day very smoothly. Thanks also to Redmist who was giving free bore scoping and 'smithing' advice and who took over the scoring as I had to dash at lunch time.

The overall standard was excellent with some good shooting from Redmist and some really top class shooting from SRVet.

The next range days are Sept 6th at Grayrigg (Cumbria) and Sept 27th back at Over Kellet.

As always details of events in the NWE at http://www.bds.org.uk/north_west_england.html
