New to stalking, looking for guidance

    Hi guys

My name is andy I'm 33 years old from derbyshire, I'm new to stalking and I'm looking for someone to take me under their wing. I have my DSC1, FAC and basc insurance as I have a 6.5x55 rifle. As much as the DSC1 gave me a basic knowledge I believe it can't substitute hands on experience so I'm looking for someone to take me under their wing and teach me everything they know, I'm more than happy to start off helping with carcass extraction etc.

Hope someone can help as all I want to do is learn how to do it all the correct way before going out alone

    Willing to travel

    Thanks in advance
    Andy

    Hi Andy

Most of us started out by booking a stalk or two with a pro stalker and this is what I would suggest. There are plenty with good reputations around like Solwaystalker, yorkshireroestalking JayB Jelen etc etc to name but a few. Don't be afraid to ask questions and more than anything listen and watch everything they are doing. Shooting does is often far cheaper than bucks so it may be worth waiting till the doe season opens.

    Best of luck

    SR
