Sako quad inter change barrel

Hi i just wondered what these are like? How easy is it to change the barrel?
Am I better off to just get 2 rifles?

Very good rifle I have been using one for 2 years or so and barrel swap is so easy and fast for the barrels it's mag out one screw job done. if you mount a rail on it once you zeroed in on your scopes it's even easier. I have a 22 and 17hmr barrel and scope swap in under 2 minuets

They are good rifles. I have .22LR and .17HMR

Bear in mind that the barrel swings up slightly for removal. This can impinge on the scope, preventing removal. However, to get the best from the Quad, you are better off fitting a picatinny rail, using QR mounts with a different scope for each calibre.

Apply for one complete rifle and spare barrels thereafter
10 shot mag is in practice an 8-9 shot mag if using .22, mine works much better when using .17m2 as the ballistic tips aid feeding

qr mounts are a must IMO
no point messing around trying to dial back and forth
i switch scope and barrel together and the zero perfectly
have two rifles now though

one 12" .22 synth to be chucked around and abused
one walnut hunter with aftermarket metal bolt and bottom metal for full length barrels

If you need 2 scopes and the qr mounts I may as well just have 2 rifles.

You don't NEED 2 scopes, its just much easier
if you can be bothered dialling back and forth and checking zero thats an option

I have 4 barrels, 4 scopes (none worth more than £50-60)

four sako rifles for the price of 1.5 CZ rifles.....
