Called this buck in three times this morning - Warning PHOTO HEAVY!

    Here's where he started:

And this is as close as he came in:

At this point he was filling the viewfinder of the camera, so I had to bark to get him to stop, as otherwise we would have had to be formally introduced

This buck, which I am pretty sure is the same one I posted photos of last week, came in three times to the call. I have no doubts he would have come in again if I'd persisted.

Here are some other photos, shown in the sequence in which they were taken:

I took a lot more photos, but my heart was beating that fast that I was having trouble focusing

Fantastic photos there willie. If you had shot him you would only have enjoyed him once but by taking photos you will be able to enjoy the photographs and be able to share them for years to come. Your "trophies" are far more valuable than a gold medal head on the wall is worth.
Thanks for sharing them with us Dom.

P.S. Edited because I was thanking the wrong person for the gift of the very fine honey.
    Mike you fool.

It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

Looking at him looks very young Dom. If this is the case he will be a bonny Buck and if he was on my patch I would be tempted to leave him for a year or two just to see.

Great photos Dom, if you keep getting that young man all excited by him thinking he is on a promise and then getting let down he could grow up into a very disturbed buck. He could require counselling at best or it may even lead to an ASBO .

Anyway think of your heart man!

Davie, I'd think he's a yearling or maybe two at most, as they have so much nutrition on this ground that they put on condition quickly.

This is not my ground, so I don't have any say on what is/is not shot, as the stalking belongs to a chap who comes up from Wales. I have plenty of other ground to stalk on, so I'm more than happy to have somewhere I can visit with a camera and without the pressure.
