Thread: Why Blaser

    Why Blaser

Checked the theory I had with my blaser R8:

    1 Scope (Zeiss 6X24- 56), 1 Moderator (Hardy)
    2 Barrels .308 & .243

Turrets Zeroed and locked for the .308 with windage 2 clicks to R

Changed barrel to .243, 9 Clicks up and 2 Clicks L on windage = Bang on Zero .243

Repeated swapping barrels with the same scope about 3 times each, bang on Zero every time!

2 Calibers 1 Set up, which ever you fancy that day.

.308 back on, 200 meter dialed in with BT strips on the Zeiss = hit the inch red circle!

    GERMAN ENGINEERING!

I'm yet to discover the full delight of blaser ownership having only just embarked, but to follow this on, I zero'd mine with a swaro scope with rail system and blaser mounts, and discussed beforehand that, given the precise nature of german/Austrian engineering, that the two entities, blaser mounts and swaro scope with rail should eliminate the need for bore sighting etc as there was so little possibility of and variations..... So by rights the scope should be pretty well on target to start with.....

yep. Didn't disappoint, first shot was on the A4 paper, and a subsequent 4 shots made good of finishing the session. I can't remember a more simple initial set up of a rifle.
Opinions are like arseholes....... we all have them, and most of them stink

Rail system must perform even better but unfortunately my specific zeiss scope only comes in ring mounts.

    Yes!

Especially when you make light of the fact that the verb to fart in German is "Blasen".
