    NV and Rangefinder illmination

Anyone know if you operate an NV ( say 870 / 750 recon ) and use a laser range finder - will the NV 'see' the laser of the range finder ?? ( no idea if its in the IR range )

Handy if it does - Just curious

Sure there is a knowledgeable fella out there who will say

Yes you can often see the spotter laser. Not sure about that model but I certainly did see mine with the archer
I can speak in-depth and with great knowledge about most subjects until some bugger who actually knows what he is speaking about opens his gob .

Yes, the NV will "see" the laser of the rangefinder (assuming you have it pointed in the right place)
Most rangefinders use an unlit display which means it can't be read easily at night.
Rangefinders with a lit display (Swarovski and Leica) can be read, and if you set it up right you can look through the NV with one eye and through the rangefinder wirh the other eye.
