    Non Toxic 6.5x55 cartridges

Looks like I will have to go lead free in the near future so to save me the leg work and because it will probably be special order whatever I get I'd like to know what everyone else has tried and what works well in 6.5x55 factory ammunition. Rifle is a sako 85 synthetic/stainless.

    Also 30-06!
    Cheers

I have been warned that from next year it is likely that FC ground will have to be lead free. The Rangers all have to do the switch before April so no doubt everyone else will have to follow suit.

Sako Powerhead II (Barnes TTSX) and RWS Evolution Green are very good, lead free. They are both manufactured in various calibers including 6,5x55 and 30-06.

I'm using Sako Powerhead factory ammo in my .270, i'm not reloading so i can't speak. There are very consistent , minimum meat damage and there are grouping 1/2 MOA in my R8 .

It's definitely coming in, when more than if. Going to use up what lead I've got over the winter and hopefully find something to replace the federal I have been using and getting on well with.
