    Fallow cull weekend with GAP180

    Ey up,

I got back from GAP180 is Hertfordshire last night after a weekend on the fallow cull,

1 buck was taken, 3 muntjac does and a fox over the weekend by my group,(plus a few more by other members of the GAP180 syndicate/team etc)

Plenty were seen including 2 white fallow bucks, 1 of which was grassed by a member of my group and the other wouldnt present a safe shot (after shouting and whistling at it) it had passed my highseat and another lads highseat !!!!!! but only presented its arse end!!!!

I didnt get chance to grass a Fallow apart from the arse end merchant(saw plenty) but grassed a muntjac doe( hey ho at least there's venison in the freezer) also a very nice muntjac buck came in sniffing around the doe that I grassed, I watched him for a couple of minutes but controlled myself/and my bank balance lol, I was after fallow and a bit of meat, so he can live for another day

All in all another great weekend at GAP180, big thanks to Paul, Alan the master chef lol, Trev and Taff and all the other lads who we shared a beer with at meal times,

Good venue and grounds, excellent food, good people and cracking banter with a butchery course and gralloching demo thrown in for good measure

No worries mate it was a pleasure to host you and Alix & Paul.

No doubt you will be returning for some more abuse and full fat food.

    Best wishes Paul.

Sounds like a good weekend. It's never a loss when you end up with meat in the freezer. Especially muntjac. Remember, you can't say muntjac without saying "Mmmmmm".
