Thread: Too much scope

    Too much scope

A little while ago I got my hands on the sako 75 finnlight that Jager SA rebarreled in .260 for me, so I treated myself to a new to me scope a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 lovely peace of glass well I could shoot with it but didn't click with it, so after some discussions with James about not really getting on with the gun and looking at options of change, I took the scope off and replaced it with my old faithful s&b 6x42 and have shot a couple of the best groups of my shooting career. Stalking is very much like going to the night club

You can always tell an Essex Boy, just you cant tell him much...

An hour in the field is worth a week of typing trash.....

Sorry HL if the thread got high jacked...

I made it like most of my stuff....I was reading Robert Bucknell's books he has a sketch of a front on fox so called him up about the sketch, Robert explained that a fox with the fur off is not very wide 4-5 inches so I made the circle 4" and free handed it out of a bit of plate with a kick leg to stop it being knocked over..
Just a bit of fun, but light enough to walk it out check the gun and go home...
I just run the mig over it to fill up the craters and use white spray primer while it is hot so it dry's very quick..
