Thread: Finnfire Scope mounts

    Finnfire Scope mounts

In reference to my recent post regarding acquiring a mint Finnfire P94S, I now want top quality mounts (with bases?) for it. I have a Meopta meapro 6-18 scope, which I feel will suit it fine. In my other rifles I have used a variety of scopes and mounts, but I think that this Finnfire deserves the right mounts. I would welcome any advice. The rifle is a Finnfire varmint with the heavy barrel. thanks in advance for any advice.

I've always used sportsmatch on sako and weihrauch .22LR

ive never once had any problems of any kind with mounting or holding the scope

I don't really know what else you could use to be honest

Sportsmatch, No Way Josť! Why spoil a nice rifle with cheap Aluminium rubbish - might as well get some cheapo Chinese muonts n rings!
Go for something high end in steel Apel Mak etc.

Ive never had any problems with sportsmatch mounts but googling it the general consensus is they are just cheap

but after looking I found Allan Rhone do some 11mm dovetail specific mounts made by rechnagel but they are £115 tho

    i I think I'll order a set and give them a try

as stated I just found out rechnagel do scope mounts specific for 11mm dovetail which is suitable for sako / weihrauch .22LR dovetails

ive never had any problems with sportsmatch as stated , but I've only used them as I've never really looked for an alternative that may be better quality

rechnagel are considerably better quality than sportsmatch so I'm quite happy to give them a try as I use rechnagel mounts and swivels on my stalking rifle as for the cost of them It doesn't bother me

Please let us know how you get on with the Rechnagel mounts. I'm also using Sportsmach on my Finnfire, but only because I couldn't find anything better locally.

I wish Sako would do some Optilock bases for their rimfires.
