Haglofs rugged mountain trousers - any good?

...as per the title - anybody use these for stalking? If so: good, bad or ugly?? (The trousers, not the wearer )

    Cheers.

    How are they:
    - for keeping water out?
    - for not getting too clammy?
    - for noise?

Once the full beard & moustache effect kicks in it will be Lederhosen you'll be needing.

Just sent a pair back as the clips at the bottom of the legs do not work

They are excellent, albeit expensive. I've got five pairs. The oldest ones have needed new zips plus the water repellent arse liner has split on two pair but they are over five years old so no complaints. They are not waterproof but dry quickly and remain really comfy when wet. A good year round trouser for all but the worst weather.

I have a pair and wouldn't rate them that highly for stalking. They aren't waterproof and soak up water when wet which eventually finds its way into your boots. pockets are pretty useless, you can barely fit your hand in them , a map or bullet clip is about all they carry. As above the ankle fasteners don't hold shut, they are quiet enough though and definitely very hard wearing. I also found the waistband quite uncomfortable and your shirt tends to ride up your back a lot. A hard wearing summer trouser in my view.

Thanks for taking the time to reply chaps - much appreciated.

Sounds like a bit of a mixed bag.....not sure they sound what I'm after.
