    Photon advice

Hi i keep thinking about getting a photon. What set up is best? Some people use a torch, some a laser. Some people use doublers. I have used a mk1 and it had a laser. Could see clearly to about 125 yards.
What are you guys doing with yours?

    I use a mk1 photon with a 1:2.8 f=135mm camera lens, with a t67 ir.
With this set up I can go out to 200/300 yards, so its ideal for foxing. Its mounted on a 222 and works really well.

No mate deffo the mk1, did the conversion myself and it converts a cheap nv into something completely different.

fair play mate,i have the 4.6 xt converted the same as yours, but havent managed to get out with it yet due to knackered tendon, plus the weathers crap

You will be very surprised how much difference it makes. I shot a fox at 220 yds and it was head shot.
You will be very happy with the results when you get to use it.
Get well soon with the tendons.
