    Deers skins

Afternoon all ,I have a young gwp pup (9months ) I want some deer skins for him for training , has anyone prepped any before ?
I have some deer in the chiller that I will be skinning next week can I prepare them myself or just use raw as such ???

Not that I know much about it Tom but wouldn`t a prepared, (I presume dried) skin lose its smell?
Raw and frozen would retain the natural scent.
