I am a massive lightforce fan and hav 4.

    170 hand held
    170 scope mounted with dimmer
    140 handheld
170 vehicle mounted with the light bar and suckers,

Dont rate the deban rip off stuff, and the first and last time I used a cluson was about 5 years ago,

LF and Deben been there done that.... what ever you get, as soon as it goes the first time rip out the wiring because it will be awful and fail when your on quarry and put in some real stuff. When I did a lot of foxing a lamp unit body would last well but the wiring from new had maybe 30 outings of real use in it before it lets you down. In the end I probably shot as many foxes with my 10 market back up as I did with the 130 quid jobs. Sitting in the pickup stripping wires, too many night wasted. Always have a cheap backup!

I have the same set up, lamp is ok. The handle is rubbish, squeaks unless you have it as slack as a ...... ....., leaks and heats up.

I use a LF 170 variable which is great for in the car or if I'm shooting of the bonnet as stated replace the wireing with some better quality cable , and also if you use a coloured cover cover the sides and the clip / leg things of the lense with black insulation tape it'll stop any light be seen by you from the rear of the light if that makes sense

i I also use a T20 red LED variable / adjustable which is also great
