    Old roe buck with tusks

    Shot this old buck last summer and only found the tusks when I was skinning the head

    I have a couple of them like that all shot in the same area in Surrey. It's not unheard of but very interesting when you find one.

    Not so very uncommon have had a considerable number with tusks over the years,and not restricted to old bucks,and not malformed.

    No not malformed. The younger ones with canines were not developed much and would come away from the skull when boiled out. The more developed seem to be the old ones.
