Hi chaps, Im wondering if this would fit on my .223 Remington sporter. It is the one without a floor plate and I'm looking to convert it to having a magazine, does anyone know if this would do the job?
    Thanking you in advance
    Al

    Hi Martyn,

I don't suppose you have a spare 595 .22-250 magazine spare by any chance, preferably a 5 shot, please?

If not, do you know where I might find one to fit mine?

    Cheers. Paul

As far i as I know the action on the 695 is longer than the 595, so will not fit,

Depends how handy you are with woodwork and epoxy resin, the tikka action is longer than your rem short action so the front stock bolt will have to be drilled in the correct place and the old one filled, this stock is inletted for a flat action, the rem is round so you need to bed the action, the safety and ejection port will also need to be altered/filled to line up. And you will need to inlet for the rem recoil lug as this one has a different system. It can be done (I've done the opposite way and altered a remington SA choate to fit a tikka), but there are much easier and less labour intensive options available. Remington probably have more after market accessories and stocks than any other make
