    approximately 6" off the ground,spotted this when out walking the dog in Warwickshire this morning, thanks for looking

    Rabbits might strip bark, but fray? Muntjac bucks will fray that low with their tusks.

    If it is fraying where are the frayed strips,there doesn't seem to be any on the ground,I first thought Rabbits but it seems a bit too high,so have a look round for any slots that may help.

    I can see only one photo but it looks like Muntjac fraying damage.
