Thought some of you guys might be interested. I've owned 4 or 5 of these over the years but this is the first one I've seen in 25-06 chambering.
It's pretty minty and it's hard to tell if it's even been fired.

Nice!

Its certainly had an easy life and been well cared for by previous owner(s).

Is it an M65?

Nice find. They are out there. I bought a mint 595 in .308 from SD member Flytie abut three years ago. I can only assume it wasn't snapped up because it wasn't threaded. Didn't bother me. Small price to pay for a mint example of a fine rifle that isn't made any more.
And last month it was joined by a Sako 75 in .243. Again mint and barely a shot fired. It pays to keep looking and be patient.

I use a 695 in 25.06 and its a cracker. Nice find and I hope you have many happy years together !

Ithaca gun Co., What is their history in Sako & Tikka stuff?

Ithaca had Tikka build for them M55 and M65's with the Ithaca name on them. Ithaca called them LSA-55 and LSA-65. Research I've done shows this was done from about '69 to '77.

This was before Tikka was affiliated with Sako.

According to Sako's website they took over Tikka in 1983.

Nice acquisition, can't beat old school tikka...and 25-06 is a superb flat shooting calibre.
