    Finish hunters bringing rifles

    Good evening chaps.
My friends from Finland are meeting me in Scotland this Red stag season. Flying to Glasgow. Are the laws regarding their importation of the rifles any different to here in England?
    Thanks, Tusker

Might be worth having a gander here: http://basc.org.uk/firearms/visiting-the-uk-to-shoot/

Make sure they have a European Firearms pass as well - they can apply for that in Finland.

I believe it's to the sponsor's local firearms department, but I've not tried it where your firearms department is in one part of the UK and the visitors will be landing into another.

Hopefully someone on here can advise. Otherwise perhaps give a call to your local FEO? Or BASC??

You are right the sponsor applies to his firearms dept. It matters not what part of the country the visitors travel to.

As far as I know if he or she has a uk visitors ticket it should be ok as firearms is not a devolved issue
