For sale is a Suzuki LT250 1989 quad bike, located in Romsey, Hampshire.
I bought this quad with the intention of keepering on a farm in Surrey, using it for other shooting in the area, and doing it up over time. But in reality I've done very little of the above and I need garage space.
The quad has some 'quirks':
- When I bought it the starter motor clutch would slip sometimes instead of engaging, I took it apart and it is quite worn and didn't bother replacing due to the cost of the parts. - I've now got the replacement clutch but no time to fit!
- The quad starts on the pull start, needs to warm up to idle temp.
- There are a couple of cracks in the plastic over the rear wheel arches.
- The front left break hose is not connected to the caliper, was like this when I bought it.
The quad does have 2wd and 4wd, diff lock, super low, low and high ratio, which all runs great. It has a 12v connecter running from the rear - very useful for the lamp.
Trailer hinges in the center, and therefore can tilt down to drive the quad on. I think an indicator isn't out because the headlight flashes instead of indicator! Unless this is my suspect diy tow hitch wiring on my car!
I love this quad, it's a bit of a classic and I would love to spend more time using it, and working on it - but I live in a flat and it just sits in the garage unused taking up space.
