    Sako Trigger Unit.

Wanted. A standard factory trigger / safety unit for a Sako 75 Action III.
If you have one in good condition, please PM with price.
    Thank you.

I've never heard of one going wrong? Has it broken? Might be worth speaking to Sako direct as I'm sure they'd like to protect their reputation.
I've only ever heard of one type of Sako aftermarket trigger which is Jard here:
    http://www.jardinc.com/sako-m995-75-trigger-assembly/
Can't see someone splitting a sako 75 for the trigger, but good luck!

You can buy a new 75 trigger assembly from GMK for about 124.

That's interesting thanks. I was under the impression that GMK and Sako would insist on the rifle being returned to Finland for fitting.
However I'm sure your information would be correct. Have you ever bought one from GMK?

I don't think it sensible to go into detail on a public forum but it is no longer safe. safe. This is no one's fault.
I know that some of our members fit specialist triggers so was rather hoping that someone had kept the original and would like to sell it.
Thanks for the link and good wishes.

I know of several 75 trigger units where a circlip fell off allowing one of the pins to move out of position. The pins were drilled and a "s" shaped pin was put in place of the circlip.

I think that's where your problem lies. Being as there is no specialist aftermarket trigger for them, most keep the original which to be fair is an excellent trigger. For 124 that would be my preferred option!
I have polished the sears with very fine 'crocus paper' and adjusted them to the minimum which is about 2-2.5 lbs with a standard spring. You can go lighter with a replacement spring here:
    http://www.ukgunworks.co.uk/product....ustment-spring
I may even have a spare one of those in the 'man-cave'.

Looks like I am on the way to getting fixed up.
Dasherman was spot on at post #3. Thank you dasherman.
GMK will indeed now supply the trigger unit for the Sako 75 but not the 85.
Marcus at John Bradshaw's Gunshop has ordered one for me this morning.
Also I have had a very helpful phone call from our trade member James (Jager SA) who has kindly offered to sort it if the new trigger unit does not completely fix the problem.
Thanks also to members for the PMs. Best regards.
