    Reloader 15 in .308

Having lost most of my reloading data in a cellar flood a while back I'm going by the brief note I made inside the lid of an MTM box to make up the next batch.

45.5 gr of RL15 in RP cases with CCI 200 primers driving a Nosler 150gr BT.

How's that sound or has anyone another pet load using RL15 and 150gr bullets?

46.5g Rel 15 standard Fed primer 150g Nosler BT...It is a very good powder, meters well and is accurate.

Just want to add...work up to that load of course!

Thanks for that. I was pretty certain it was the loading that I had been using previously but just wanted to check it was within accepted limits. It performed very well out of the 24" tube on my Steyr - cloverleaf @ 100m - and no signs of overpressure, so I'll carry on with it.

Nosler give a max of 46 grains of RL15 for the 150 grain partition and BT.

I was loading the Hornady spire point with 44.5 grains of RL15, CCI 200 primers and Lapua brass until I made the discovery that velocity was maybe not quite deer legal. The highest book load for a 150 grain bullet I could find was 49 grains of RL15 so I worked up to that with no pressure signs at all. Others had suggested that the partition is a harder bullet than the Hornady and so a lower charge is likely to be necessary, I'm not sure if that applies to the BT as well. I'm hoping to get some partitions in the near future to try them.

So, I think your load is good to go but it might be worth checking the velocity of you have a chrony, or can borrow one for 10 minutes.

I have found 46.7 to suit in RL15. Obviously from the other post you can't go wrong at around 46gns.
