    is the rear scope base mount tapered as on the newer sakos,

    My m591 is also tapered on the rear mount.

    My old one was. I'm sure all sako rifles have the taper.

    My old M591 308 was std sako dovetails as I just bought a set of bases and optiloc mounts from my local shop and I never had a problem

    I've a drone on my m591 Bob, tapered dovetails , i ordered the interference fit rail from Alan Rhone
    I was a bit dubious but it's never moved and drone is on & off & keeps zero

    its for one of the lads I know and wanted to make sure, he will order his from Alan like we both did, I have mine from my sako but I want to keep it as I think I will end up selling my new tikka 595 in 20 tac as the sako has not sold.
