Thread: fallow weights

    fallow weights

    are the fallow getting bigger or am I getting old I don't know but the ones im taking of late are a lot bigger this year than last year. any one noticed this in there area ? also the numbers are also up this year compared to last year despite culling more last year .

    Hi finding the same round my ground seems to be more around and carrying a good weight even hitting them hard over the last couple of months there are still good numbers around

    Mild weather since the rut allowing more weight to be put on ?

    Hi NDT I have the same problem, I am old and now I'm convinced they are deliberately growing bigger to give me a heart attack. The does I have shot this year have been 5-10 lbs heavier than last years records indicate.

    shot a big buck some couple of months ago 84.3kg I could not lift it . I had to call for help

    Was that the larder weight?!?

    no that was shot weight 59 kg larder weight

    Had a buck in September that was 74Kg chiller weight (skin on). The does are in excellent condition at the moment with loads of fat. Rude health.

    Hi that looks a good buck heaviest this year so far was just over 61kg dressed out like ndt man getting older and after dragging it 100 yrds then loading it in the truck I was about fit to drop by the way were did you get the hoist your useing or did you make it youself

    No real difference to last year.

    Heaviest this year is 73 kg larder weight, post rut.
