My 13 year old son and I were given knife blades, wood blocks and bolts/pins etc for Christmas. They are approaching completion and considering they were done with minimal tools appear OK so far. This is my attempt, an Enzo Trapper blade in D2 steel with Scandi grind, black liner and kingwood scales. Has been good fun! Whadda you think?

Looks a good job. I hope you enjoyed making it as much as you will using it for years to come. How did your lad get on with his? Do you have to make your own sheath as well?

My son's is almost done, just being oiled. His is the same blade but with Mexican cocobolo scales. We have ready made sheaths so cheated a bit but may try making one yet!

    I'm impressed on two counts.

    1) The knife looks great

    2) No sign of cuts or scabs on your fingers.

    Well done!
