    Roe head measurement.

Having no real interest/experience with trophies myself I wondered if this head might be worth measuring?

The land owner I shot it for liked the head so rather than throw it away I had it prepared for him.

I'm getting it mounted on a plaque but thought if it's got a decent chance of a medal would get that for him as well.
    It weighs 545g.

    Thanks in advance.

Is that the weight just after boiling? Or after drying for a while?

If memory serves me anything over 455g (full skull) is worth a measure, but that's after 90 days drying. If it's just been boiled it might lose between 10-15% ish....

thats just a guide though, lots of other factors affect the score

Might make a silver if you are lucky, but won't win any beauty points!

If thats a dry weight pretty sure it should make a silver and high bronze at least.
Plenty of character there and looks an old beast going back.

That's a bit harsh Jim. Not everyone can be as beautiful as us

What was the result? Did it make a medal?
