    Zeiss

Around 1972 I bought a pair of Zeiss Deltrintem binoculars, 8 X 30 which have been
splendid, until today when I find that looking through the right eye all vertical lines,
fence posts etc. are now leaning to the left about 10 degrees.

    Obviously something has moved.

    Your suggestions are welcome !

Take out your fence posts a reinstall them vertical about 10 degrees to the right
If that dosent work send them back to a Zeiss service agent

Send them back to Ziess. I will bet you a fruitcake they fix them for free. The worst they can do is send them back saying "Sorry to old." (and you will have gained a fruitcake )

    Brian.

Your binoculars were made by the former East German company Carl Zeiss Jena. At the re-unification of Germany, CZJ became known as Jenoptik and had premises in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, Carl Zeiss UK offices are also in Hertfordshire (Welwyn Garden City), but do not handle the former East German products as they are a different company (and different parts). As mentioned earlier Glasgow Binocular Repairs would be the best bet, as they aquired some of the tools for Jena binoculars from the Borehamwood premises.

p.s. Sounds as though your binoculars need collimating.
