    Semi custom Tikka .220 swift

Hard decision this, but the time has come for me to sell. It's based on a Tikka lsa65 action which has been bedded into the walnut stock. Barrel is a heavy profile 26" douglas, threaded 14x1 and recrowned by james clarke ( jager sporting ) who I'm sure would back up the quality of this rifle. The barrel and action has been reblued and is of first class workmanship. Bolt operation is as slick as you could want and the trigger breaks like the proverbial glass rod at around 1.5lb. Round count is a genuine 70 factory rounds. Comes with genuine Tikka 30mm mounts. Pictures are available by email as i don't know how to put them on here. Selling as I'm trying to condense my firearms a bit and would like to do a bit more range work with my .223. 650 f2f or happy to rfd at your cost. Any questions please ask. Atb, Gareth.

If I didn't have my no 1 I would had bought it ,but I can't part with no 1 ,the 220 is different,l have a 1939 shooting magazine a stalker in Scotland was using winchester 54 in 220 swift to shoot reds ,68 reds in 2 yrs longest shot 268 yards he said was the best caliber he used for red deer he was using the Winchester 48 grn ammo 4118 fps which I used and have one box left which I keeping ,it's very accurate under 1/2 ins group,be different atb Steve

Thats really interesting to hear. I'm sure I read somewhere that the swift was one of Richard Priors favourite calibers too. I love it and would hate to see it go, maybe I can convince my feo to grant me the .223 as well if I sell the hornet.

feo that's the problem ,I actually sold my Cz 22 hornet to buy a 220 swift ,I had a Cz cracking rifle and caliber, what hornet do have what price were you thinking maybe interested ,I have a 17 hmr slot to fill ,but was thinking of swapping it for hornet because I reload it's just as cheap atb Steve ps Richard priors favourite caliber was a 22 hornet for deer so I read some wear
