    Ruger M77 Mk1 scope mounts

    Hi Guys

Anyone know if I need the Special Ruger scope rings for a mk1 Ruger M77.
Will need a set for a 50mm objective scope either 1" or 30mm, will get the rings and then get the scope to match.
Anyone got a set for sale?

Some of the clearance depends upon the barrel and the scope bell contour ( where it becomes largest in relation to the barrel ), but Ruger High rings work up to 56mm on most rifles, 1 inch or 30mm tubes ( same distance from the bottom of the rings).

Speak to Graham at Northern Optics - really helpful guy. He supplied a set of the highest and next size down for me to fit a Vortex 50mm on to my MK1 top tang.
You can get a bit more height by using a full length Ruger rail like Weigand....bit diffucult to get here especially for long action. Optics warehouse do a couple of different rail types...one poss far east and another better one by a British guy but they were having problems with supply (I think he was unwell).
Graham is your main guy, can't recommend him highly enough.

I keep meaning to program my CNC and have a go myself.................esp. for night vision.

Thanks for the replies (even though I put it in the wrong section) Have managed to get fixed up with original rings and the scope to fit the rings, once I have paid for them that is.
