Dorset Sika during the rut called and filmed with the camcorder

Sometimes you just have to film and not shoot for various reasons. Here's a couple of frames from videos my "camera woman" has taken.

One day the many years of video will be edited and put together properly (maybe when I retire!). The first Stag came looking for a fight, stopped just about 15yds away and gave it his best rutting groan, probably 2 mins of actual footage with the stag in frame within 40 yds. The second was in frame for about 3 mins 30, mostly at a distance of about 10m and the third is part of a series of clips at varying distances from 70yds to 18yds all told about 40 mins of film. Good quality HD camcorders means that you can take a single frame from the video that still looks pretty good.

Put some up I am sure it would be well received, and of interest as a lot of people have never seen or heard a Sika.

I'm afraid I've years of video and don't have the time to get them sorted. I did manage to sort a dvd for a Norwegian lady client after filming her for a number of years and she was well pleased. I'll try and get a few short clips downloaded in the next few weeks but not promising as I have a lot on at the moment. I'll try and sort one of each, Sika, Roe, Fallow and Muntjac but if I don't manage that I'll post a few more frames from video.
