So are these range finding bins or is the title miss spelled?
    What model are they?

10x42 EL-R... You can see the rangefinding button on the top left of the back hinge

Thanks for that. I can see the square button now. I assume you have experience of these? They any good compared with the other top names?
Also sakoson do they have any ballistic capability i.e give drop figures or horizontal distance to target etc?

I've got 8x42 and they are the best bit of kit that I own. We use binos more than anything else, and to just ping a button on top to get the range rather than having to get out separate rangefinder is well worth the expense (other opinions are available!). They're not cheap, and they're not light, but all that is balanced by ease of use.

The return from a "ping" will give you 2 readings:
    1. Actual distance to target
    2. Distance you should use to allow for gradient up/down to target

I traded up from 10x42 EL to these, and am more than happy.

Other brands offer RF bins, but I didn't bother looking at anything else as I like Swaro optics

They are officially called 10x42 EL Range binoculars
They have whats called swaroaim (corrected ballistic shooting distance ) for shooting at an angle up or down, but personally never used it,you can find all the information on swarovski web sight

You are too cheap on these my friend, top kit demands top money, at £1300 these are a steal.
