Welcome along. How is hunting in Sweden, is it heavily regulated or is the government pro hunting?

Small game up to roe is only regulated in which time of the year the hunting is allowed.
Moose is regulated by the size of the hunting grounds and also by the size of the population (not people, the amount of moose).
For instance one area can receive 4 adults + 4 calves per 1000 hectares, while an area in another part of the country receives 2+2.
For bear it is similar, only much less. Lynx and wolf is only hunted based on how much damage they do on reindeer herds, which in Sweden are privately owned livestock. No wild reindeer here.
Every year we have 45000+ traffic accidents involving roe, hog, moose and other deer and every year 95000+ moose are allowed for hunt.
