Thread: Zero stop

    Zero stop

I've just bought a 3-12x 50 PMII. It's got double turn and zero stop. But it doesn't actually stop on zero, it stops 4 clicks past zero.
    Is this normal?

Not sure about the pm2 but others do it

My PMII does exactly the same

Ive got a zero stop Nightforce. With this you have to take the turret cap off and set the mechanism to stop on the zero. I stopped using this feature because it was a pain in the a**e if you checked the zero and it had to be shifted lower than the zero stop, if that makes sense. I rather just look at the turret to see if I returned it to the "0"

I think the intention is to allow a few clicks for just that reason

It's designed to do this to enable taking closer range shots.

Zero hold on nightforce atacr 4-16x42 stops on zero, to go under you press a button on the turret

As others have said, yes for the reasons already explained.

I've used PMII for many years.
