How will they know? Who's to say the Federal box, containing 20 Federal cases loaded with 100gn SP bullets aren't Federal 100gn SP loads?.
(Delete Federal insert brand of choice)
You can't say muntjac without saying, Mmmmmm.

Health & Safety If anyone has a blow up with a rifle while using homeloads the FC may be held liable so they want to take all variables away to reduce risk of prosecution.

They'll be banning sharpe knives next in case you cut yourself in an isolated location and cannot make it to safety.
OR - introduce a system whereby you have to make contact with somebody by radio/'phone every half hour to make sure you haven't had an accident/heart attack
OR - ban live bullets in case you shoot something

The way that they reduce the risk of prosecution is by assuring your competence ie external testing (dsc), police checks (fac) and their own testing of your ability (stalkers test). If you as a competent person then choose to push the operational abilities of your weapon, the only person liable to prosecution is you. The health and safety officer you quote is obviously mis-informed, probably by some pen pusher who has no idea about health and safety but, like all the other numpties, sees it as a good hook to hang stupid rules on, which is massively galling to those of us who choose health and safety as our proffession. I would go as far as to suggest that the reason the FC might ban homeloads is because, should their be any question of the loads suitability for deer, once the homeload is fired there is no way to prove its constituent parts, whereas with factory loads the info is freely available

Whilst it might be freely available how accurate is the information?

Just how many factory rounds really deliver the figures they quote?

This country is going to hell in a hand basket faster and faster . Time to tell the FC where to F..C off.

Look at BP. They had zip to do with the oil spill. It was down to their subby but they pick up the tab because it was their ultimate responsibility. If a federal case burts due to excess use or overload some shyster would take federal, you and the fc to the american court for excess damage cos the dog lost ane eye in the expolsion. Cover your ass cos someone wants a reason to get on the gravy train,
    Jim.
