    BASC Gamekeepers' fair coming up

Haven't been to this one before, is it any good? I mainly just like to have a mooch about at things for sale and watch the shows, gundog events, etc rather than looking to see/buy anything specific. Wife has said she'd like to come and Catton Park isn't all that far really.

Its a great day out Simon ,lots to see and do BUT bring your own food and drink or stop in Walton at the Swan or over the road at Barton Marina for a meal. You need to sell a kidney to buy anything from the fast food and bars .Lots of gun dog trials ,clay shooting and a Stalking village and oh deer ,sorry its only 10 miles away. Its a grand day out

Just got back parts are very slimy ,though they have put mats down in the worst bits. The place has double the stalls and displays from 2 years ago and a lot have put matting down but i would advise against normal wheelchairs just too messy and sinking in parts though it is drying out as its held off from raining .I was there 11 till 2.30 and the Sheeplechase is funny as can be ,plenty of dog scurries and clay shooting ,for the kids there,s crossbow pistols and the big kids .22 rimmie and air rifle .Lots of shooting bits and stalls ,both NGO and BASC AND Swaro are there and a night vision specialist a good day out but food is priced stupid atb
