    Cleaning moderator

    Ok took my 17 out for a walk got though about 40 rounds when I got home went to take it off to push one of the felt things though it the thing came a part and it was full of water is this normal ?

    Yup. Condensation kills moderators.

    I've seen plenty that have rusted through. I put mine on top of the aga for a few hours if I've been out. A radiator would do just as well.

    I always give mine a good internal dose of WD40 to drive off any moisture then leave it on end, somewhere warm.

    I spray mine with silencesave then leave on radiator

    i have now decided to remove strip and wash and put on the radiator over night after outing it
