    It's a dog.

Badgers have five toes. Foxes are narrower. It's nothing like an otter.

Doubt it , it was in the middle of farmland where theres sheep , the farmer would(does) shoot dogs on site ,the mud was really soft and I think a dog would have sunk in more , what drew me to look at the mud was Roe prints.

I'd second that, quite a small dog too as not much bigger than ur 50p bit.

When u see a broc footprint u'll never mistake it for anything else, with the 5 toes looks very wide/square, i always think foxes form quite a daimond shape and quite narrow.

Ps is there no sites u can look at various footprints to see wot it looks most like?

Stride pattern looks wrong for a fox too, if footprints so close together, usually a fox u just see 1 line of prints and front and back feet will walk in same print
