A cover for the mod, so it isn't so reflective perhaps?

Take the rifle out later set it out with a bi-pod and padding on your bonnet so it is where you would want to shoot out, then lift the lamp up until the glare goes away. Have a mate do it works better as you can tell him when to stop.
I had this 4 years ago with my Kahles 3-12x56 which is a quality scope , my fix was to extend the height of the lamp by making a bracket which lifted the LF 170 up 3"s. With that it was gin clear and no glare.
Longest fox with that fix on my own 284 front on.

It will depend on the lamp and clamping system, my back ground is tool making, with it part of my daily routine of fixing stuff, if you get stuck just pm me some pictures and I am sure the light bulb will switch on.

lots of fixes depending on set up

Tape the bottom third of the scope objective
Black sock over the mod (with a hole in the end obviously!)
    Sun shade on the lamp
move the light source back on the scope so the scope throws a shadow on the mod
Use a smaller light head (T50 rather than massive spotter)

a friend just told me a fix for this.get some round pipe insulation cut it in half and place it in the bottom of the objective lens housing.not tried it yet but i would think it will work.

Painted mine with matt high temp exhaust paint(aerosol),solved the problem.Cleans off easily with bore cleaning solvent.

Why the popcorn ,does no damage to moderator, solves the problem and cleans off easily.

On my 22lr I just mount the lamp under the mod rather than on the scope. I don't have a clamp large enough to do the same on the centre fire moderator so a short length of pipe insulation on barrel behind mod prevents the glare..
