Original EKA swingblade in 12C27 sandvik steel brand new in box

    SPF guys

I bought this just to use as a pattern to make my own zipper and it has never been used apart from drawing around the zipper end! This is the original swingblade in 12C27 sandvik steel before they (de)value engineered them with AUS8

That is nice, you are very talented mate, how long does it take you to make them? Do you forge the blades yourself?

Very nice - what size pricking iron do you use for that stitching, or are you doing it by eye?

be very careful sanding Leather on the belt grinder Leather dust is on a par with asbestos dust if you breath it in Mask and extraction and clean up before it gets blown all over the place

The sheath was around 2 1/2 hours and the knife was around 8 hours. This particular blade for this knife was an old enzo trapper that I refurbished for a friend of mine, it lost the logo on the belt grinder! A knife from scratch takes me 12-16 hours all in but I don't make many. I mark the stitching spacing out by eye with a brad and drill through on a pillar drill with a 1.5mm bit.

Oh yes all masked up - it's a killer - as is wood dust - grinding wenge can even give you septic lungs
