    Hi, quick introduction:

I live in the South Island of New Zealand near Wanaka. Hunter for 40 years. 3rd Generation Deerstalker. Extensive experience in South Island high country hunting Reds, Tahr, Chamois, Wallabies, Whitetail and Fellow.

I'm looking to swap a Tahr hunt here in New Zealand for a Red Stag hunt in Scotland.

Look up "Tahr hunt Pukaki area" on Youtube to see a recent hunt.

I shoot with... 0.17 .22 .223 .308 .300WSM depending on the game! My go to gun is the Tikka .308 SS apart from shooting Tahr where the .300WSM is more reliable at the 500yd + ranges we get in the alpine setting.

I will be in Scotland in the second week of September 2016. I want to shoot a Scottish stag as my ancestors were from Scotland but were unlikely to have been able to hunt legally. (Highlanders forced from the land in the 1840's)

Stalking is very much like going to the night club

You can always tell an Essex Boy, just you cant tell him much...

An hour in the field is worth a week of typing trash.....
